Western Industrial Contractors ("WIC") provides electrical, mechanical and industrial equipment installation services for industrial manufacturing and government, and homeland security applications.

GMB was retained as WIC's exclusive financial advisor when the company's owner/operator decided to retire. WIC's dependence on government-oriented contracts and the seller's personal relationships with the company's major customers limited the interest of prospective buyers.

GMB conducted a broad auction process with both financial and strategic acquirers which ultimately led to the successful sale of WIC to Rockmont Capital Partners, LLC, a private investment company based in Denver. The transaction was structured as a control investment by Rockmont with a unique and attractive seven-year earn-out provision for the seller.

Rockmont was interested in WIC for its strong management team, lead market position and favorable growth prospects.
