Peak Power Engineering, Inc. ("Peak Power") is the premier power engineering consulting firm in the Rocky Mountain region. Founded in 1994, Peak Power has particular expertise in wind-power applications. It also provides design and engineering services to investor-owned utilities, electrical cooperatives, municipalities, government agencies and large industrial consumers such as: mining companies, semiconductor manufacturers, pipeline companies and ski resorts.

Peak Power's three owners engaged GMB to identify a financial partner to provide partial liquidity to shareholders and additional capital to pursue significant growth opportunities. GMB performed preliminary due diligence and negotiated an acquisition offer from Denver-based private equity firm Bow River Capital ("Bow River").

GMB constructed a financial model to assess Bow River's initial offer and determine a basis for negotiation. GMB then actively negotiated a detailed letter of intent, which outlined the transaction's key elements. Next, GMB set a condensed timeline to streamline the transaction process, as well as expedite due diligence and closing. GMB also assisted Peak Power's legal counsel in negotiating the stock purchase agreement and other ancillary agreements on its behalf.
