FlipChip International ("FlipChip") is a leading provider of semiconductor processing services utilized in next generation products such as camera phones, Bluetooth®-enabled products, WiFi devices and medical products. GMB was retained as the company's advisor to raise growth capital for FlipChip's rapidly expanding core domestic business, while simultaneously creating the financial flexibility to facilitate a critical joint venture investment in China. The owner / entrepreneurs of privately held FlipChip were highly sensitive to potential equity dilution.

GMB conducted a broad auction which addressed and successfully mitigated the short operating history of the business, the inherent cyclicality of the semiconductor industry, customer concentration issues and competition from much larger offshore firms. The transaction was completed with Wells Fargo Business Credit and CapitalSource on terms that exceeded the owners' expectations.
