Ron Rivera, Managing Director

Mr. Rivera leads the firm's Technology Industry Practice, which provides investment banking and advisory services to middle-market companies and investors active in the software & services, Internet & digital media, electronics, communications and energy technology sectors. Mr. Rivera has completed M&A and financing transactions with an aggregate value of more than $6 billion for technology companies. With nearly 20 years of investment banking and corporate advisory experience, 18 of them focused on the technology segment, Mr. Rivera has substantial transaction expertise and relationships in the sector. Prior to GMB, Mr. Rivera was a director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta, where he led the firm's investment banking efforts in consumer technology, e-commerce and consumer & retail. Previously, he was a director, technology investment banking for Wachovia Securities, Inc., where he helped establish the firm's West Coast software investment banking practice. Mr. Rivera later headed Wachovia Securities' Northeast U.S. Strategic Advisory Group in New York/Boston/Charlotte as part of the firm's Global Corporate & Investment Banking Division. Mr. Rivera also served as vice president, technology investment banking for SG Cowen Securities Corporation and held corporate finance and M&A positions at NationsBanc Montgomery Securities (now Banc of America Securities), Cowen & Company and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
