Our Roots
GMB's founders, Jack Green, Bob Manning and Jim Bunch, spent several years together at Boettcher & Company as President/COO, Head of Corporate Finance, and EVP/General Counsel, respectively, and as directors. During the period of their leadership, Boettcher was the largest full-service investment bank in the western United States with 26 offices and more than 1,200 employees.Jack, Bob and Jim had a vision to build a premier investment bank dedicated to providing exceptional service to middle market companies. They took their institutional experience gained from Boettcher and previous positions, applied their entrepreneurial spirit, and established Green Manning and Bunch, Ltd. in 1988.
Years later, our expert bankers continue to operate GMB committed to the same core principles that were established by the firm's three founders:
- Place the clients' interests first.
- Never compromise the integrity of the firm, as our reputation is vital to our success.
- Regard each assignment as a partnership, not merely a transaction.
- Avoid conflicts of interest by maintaining focus on our core business.
- Develop shared expectations through senior professionals' focus on the client's goals and objectives on every assignment.
- Provide customized solutions for every assignment.
- Avoid bureaucracy.
- Maintain a corporate culture that ensures a balance between business and community involvement.
