Analyst Candidates
GMB seeks highly motivated individuals eager to excel in a financial analyst program in middle market investment banking. The GMB Analyst program is generally a two-to three-year commitment in which Analysts gain exposure to a number of disciplines and industries.

The GMB Analyst program is extremely challenging, and provides a solid background in both general business and detailed investment banking. GMB Analysts are expected to:

• Provide crucial analytical, research and marketing support for each transaction team
• Perform complex quantitative analyses, including M&A and leveraged buyout modeling
• Conduct industry and market research
• Prepare compelling presentations and descriptive transaction materials
• Support the industry-focused marketing efforts of the firm and participate in the recruitment of analysts and associates

GMB's small size translates into a flexible work environment where an Analyst's level of responsibility is only limited by his or her ability. Because they are crucial members of every transaction team, Analysts regularly participate in high-level client meetings and interact frequently with senior corporate executives. Analysts are expected and encouraged to take on additional responsibilities as they demonstrate their ability to do so.

Candidates should have:

• Undergraduate degree in Business (Finance preferred) or Economics
• Highest personal integrity
• Strong interest in finance, M&A, and capital structure strategy for middle-market businesses
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently, learn quickly, and take ownership of assigned tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in small teams (2 - 4 people)
• Solid understanding of Excel and Powerpoint
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial statements
• Strong writing skills

Associate Candidates
GMB is interested in meeting with accomplished finance professionals to join the GMB team as Associates. We hire only those Associate candidates we believe have the talent, desire and aptitude to pursue a long-term career with our firm. Our expectation is that, with experience, Associates will transition into a position as Vice President and, ultimately, become a Managing Director of our firm.

Associates are actively involved in all aspects of a transaction, from the initial proposal to the closing. GMB Associates are expected to:

• Manage the quantitative analysis performed by Analysts and monitor Analysts' development
  
• Present GMB's financial analysis to clients and institutional investors
  
• Manage the composition of presentations to potential clients and write detailed transaction memoranda
  
• Play a significant role in new business efforts and in maintaining client relationships

GMB Associates share the vision and philosophy of the firm: clients' interests first, commitment to excellence, middle market focus and utilization of the resources and experience of the entire firm. Candidates must be committed to continuing to build a premier middle market investment banking firm.

Candidates should have:

• 3-5 years of experience in investment banking or a related field
  
• MBA is preferred, but GMB also hires individuals with a JD or significant investment banking experience
  
• A strong academic record with breadth and depth in work experience and excellent communication skills and references
